Have only seen one. They are VERY cheap. Lets just say compared with some others you get what you pay for. What's your budget?

I havnt heard anything bad about this company. But speaking from experience and the absolutley dreadful situation we are in at the moment with a horse box company PLEASE PLEASE do your home work on any horse box builder before you proceed. To cut a long story short 3 months ago we ordered a coachbuilt lorry a very simple design nothing fancy, we provided a chassis(we paid for it and have log book). Gave coachbuilder £4000 deposit, then 3weeks later asked for another £2000 the a week later asked for £3000 said the last payment wasnt enough at this point we expressed that the work wasnt progressing as quick as we were giving him the money, and what was happening, gave us loads of excuses, told us he had 6 men building for him but we have never seen anyone. Then he asked for another £4000 we said that we would like to see further progress before handing any more money over he said if you dont give it the lorry wont get finished, so we did by this time he has had £13000. very nearly 3/4 of the total balance and not even half way built. We have been to see a solicitor who says we are within our legal right to take it as it is. So this is what we intend to do, his factory is full of un finished lorries, rumour has it that if people go to get thier lorry he threatens to burn their house down, and then the lorry gets "strangley" stolen. God knows we will ever see this again. He has stripped the interior of the cab for some unknown reason, so dont know how we can get it. Police not interested or trading standards they say its a civil matter. So please think carefully, I would not wish this on anyone, and so Iam told this kind of thing is happening all the time with horsebox builders.

IF tis too far to go to view, order and inspect the potential base chassis cab, it will to too far to go and collect, return for any problems to be solved, or deal with any queries.
Deal with someone where you can...
Inspect one they have made already
Inspect host vehicle
Choose fixtures, fitting and furnishings in person
Pay 10% deposit and get full receipt and specification list and delivery date

Agree with Steeleydan. Be very careful!!!
We can supply previous customers names and numbers to give prospective customers confidence that our lorries are build to high standards and delivered on time.
Ask to speak to former customers. Ask them if they were happy with their lorry and would they recommend this company and if they would email you photos.
Its no guarantee but if you have five names and phone numbers from various counties, it may give you more confidence.

Let me introduce myself, I am Simon Walker-Hansell, proprietor of AAQUINE Horseboxes UK & AAQUINE Europe.

Firstly I would like to say I would agree with 'Steeleydan' and 'PeterNatt', I think it is important people do some research before handing any money over to a horsebox company they do not know.

I would like to take this opportunity to give a little information about our company;

We are a family run business and have been building horseboxes for 20 years as of this spring, and have been involved in the equestrian industry for a further 10 years.

'AAQUINE' is the retail sector of our company, we also supply a few large trade customers with vehicles in the UK and France. The AAQUINE brand is fairly new, and has been in use for the past 3 years.

Our workshops build over 50 horseboxes per year, which should explain how we are able to retail our vehicles at such reasonable prices, and if get the chance to view our vehicles you will see that they are not 'cheap' but actually offer market beating value for money.

I would like to point out that as part of our service we have a demonstration horsebox available at all times which we bring to show each and every one of our customers who has seen our brochure or website and expresses an interest regardless of distance.

I would welcome anyone who has any doubt about the quality or service that we offer to call and arrange to view our demonstrator, we try to see each customer within 3 or 4 days of their enquiry.

All of our work is fully warranted, and I can guarantee anyone that all of our customers are satisfied with the product and after sales service we offer. I know this because any problems that arise are dealt with immediately.

We are very unique in that we can usually supply a bespoke designed horsebox (7.5 tonne or HGV) within 6 weeks of an order, this quick turn around is a big advantage to us and many of our customers who cannot afford to wait months for their new horsebox!

I don't wish to bore you any more but below are a few points that I believe are important and stand us apart from many other companies:

- All Iveco chassis supplied are Genuine used trucks bought from Iveco direct with FSH etc.
- All other makes of chassis are supplied from a single trusted source, ie. we never buy from auction/small commercial dealers who cannot supply vehicle history.
- We operate full commercial workshops carrying out Service and MOT work on all makes of vehicle.
- We have an industry standard Commercial paintshop where we spray all of our vehicles using the finest quality paint and heavy duty anti scratch laquer, we also carry out repair and insurance work.
- When you place an order with us you are given a delivery date, this is the date we deliver your vehicle, we cannot afford to have a delay as much as you can due to the system we operate so you can rest assured there will be no hold ups.
- We can put you in touch with a number of customers who will confirm the above, and have taken delivery of their vehicles with 100% satisfaction, some who have had 2 or 3 of our vehicles.
- We always endevour to set ourselves apart with inovative changes to our design, we are one of the first companies to offer continuous windows in our price range, and now we are offering under floor storage in our standard premium price.
- All vehicles are finished to the customers specification and we can accomodate almost all requirements 7.5 tonne upto articulated Heavy Goods vehicles, and budgets ranging from £25,000 to £85,000.

I hope this has answered any questions or doubts anyone may have had with our company, if you need any further information please feel free to contact us on 0800 294 2804 and if you would like to see the demonstrator please just ask.

Thank you for taking the time to read the above.

Kind Regards

Simon Walker-Hansell

We have a horsebox built by Simons fathers company about 5 years ago we bought it from a trade customer they supplied. It was an ex demo we had a minor problem with the fridge. We rang the company we bought it from and the problem was put right within a few days by Simons family company. They repaired it at our home so we did not even have to drive the box anywhere. I can second everything Simon has written. His rates are competetive and the end result is excellent.
Last year I had an accident with the horsebox and met Simon in person. We live about 11/2 hrs away from his workshop. The insurance work was carried out quickly and the respray and work was super. When we dropped off the box for repairs we were lent a vehicle so we didn't need to take an extra vehicle up. I think in this day and age that service is first class.
When we change the horsebox it will be most certainly be for an aaquine we had a guided tour and they are amazing! No one should have any doubts about this company their service is second to none
