I have a Ford Iveco Daily 6.5t horsebox. The partitions are metal framed with plywood sheets on both sides and are incredibly heavy - because of the weight they now have to be lifted slightly to secure them closed as they have dropped

I am looking to take the plywood off the frames and replace it with something lighter to make them easier to close - does anyone have any ideas based on what they have in their boxes?

Partitions need to be heavy to keep the wee half tonne beastie safe in the event of sharp breaking or anything else serious!

Would think the best thing to do is ask a horse box manufacturer!

I can recommend David Gazeley!

Brill people and lovely advice!

Thanks for your replies.

My little box is tomorrow going to be fixed. Having looked at some other boxes, they are going to remove the wood from both sides, and recut the wood to fit inside the metal frame and weld in on with some brackets, we have seen this system on some others and seems to work well.

Heres hoping!!
