Does anyone know where you cn buy half decent horsebox bodies to put onto newish chassis or has anyone converted one themselves and would you recommend it? where do you get stuff from, ramps, sheet material etc.

We are in Norfolk. Mechanic can poss get me a Daf LF 45 less than 10 yrs old. new completed boxes this young are waaaayyy out of my price league.

you could buy an older lorry with a tidy body and swap it on to your newer chassis however very important points one is the cab must tilt for the newer chassis and you need to make sure the cab hight is simalar on both if it has a luton, otherwise you have a lot of mods and the other consideration is the wheelbase so the ballence is maintained... as for parts ive built my own and have found John at hartwood elite very helpfull and has a great range of windows doors and every other part for a sucsessfull build...
hope that helps
