Ive decided to sell my horsebox and am going to have it weighed incase I get any interest. My friend reccons they weigh them when they are plated/mot'd?? Mines going next week so does anyone know if this is true? It would save me a trip to the weighbridge.

Yes they do weigh them, but mine weighed about 200 kilos more on the plating one than it did on the weighbridge (although maybe I had loads more stuff on board?!).

The weight is on a computer printout sheet which they give you at the end so don't throw that bit away!

Its not very accurate as they do it one axle at a time. I took a lorry and it had to be retested. The second time when it had less fuel in it it weighed 300kg more.
