There never seems to be any posts about the living problems!

So far my tv is on the blink and only tunes in if it feels like it

My blown air heating stopped working and cost over £250 to fix

Now I need it this weekend and my propex heater was spewing out water last night. Despite me being careful about draining it for winter.

My lorry was brand new, so either i'm unlucky or no one posts about these things!

I think unless you are actually living in it for a 3 day show for example a lot of these things are irritants and put on the back burner for repair another day, thats prob why they aren't mentioned.

my last horsebox had a new conversion when i bought it and the hot water heater NEVER worked from the start, it went back repeatedly (3 hour round trip) and they never got it sorted. i got sick to death of it, gave up trying, which is probably what they wanted. oh, and the roof leaked from the start... i think with a lot of horsebox manufacturers, once they've got your money, they don't give a damn... :( :( :(

mine is fine However I fitted all the equipment!!!:D , I would imagine it is caravan motorhome stuff which can suffer problems due to infrequent use, ive fixed friends LQ problems again this year they seems to need a little TLC after the winter, so yes it does give trouble and frost dammage is the main one and things like petrol left in generators going stale, then cobwebs and dust in the fridge burner and not many folk remember to charge the LQ battery when its standing...

My TV doesn't work and this spring the hot water's packed up. I got zero sympathy from friends when I complained about cold showers! It might have had something to do with my saying that I had to put the heating on full so that I didn't freeze to death get dried and dressed afterwards. :D

Yes you do have to very tactfull !! not good when someone says, arnt the showers/toilets horrible at the show ??? best to agree :D dont say Oh mine is fine in the lorry....

Kerilli - agreed! Mine leaked too! I took it back twice, but eventually had the problem solved by my ace mobile mechanic

The living isn't a question of the builders fault per se - although went it went off to be fixed it came back with 2 blown cameras and the heater ECU fried, so the system must have experienced a massive surge (which was denied!)

Anywho the propex water heater I took great pains to drain, but the way my system was built I would have to had removed one of the water pipes, as evidently it didn't fully drain and the ice has cracked the water unit in 2!

So another £150+ bill to fix that, but now I know how to drain it in future shouldn't happen again

I guess I want lorry maintenance talked about - as this can save people some serious money!!! I'd rather not learn by forking out huge sums of cash!
