Ive gone and got 2 bales of it for my mare for pc camp, but im not sure if it will last or not, never used it before!

im using a small mesh net, shes stabled all day and night, shes 600kg and very greedy!

do you think i should get another sack? cheers x.

How long are you staying at camp for? My big mare goes through one of those little bales a day!

When stabled all day my 16.2hh ISH mare eats at least 1 a day! When she had her foal at foot it was two!!!! A v expensive way to feed horses!!

Guess the answer is you'll need to buy another couple of bales to be on the safe side!

The people who make it, say that 1 bag is enough to provide the forage requirements of a 500kg horse 3 days.

Use the proper net, so the horse doesn't pig it all and shake it up in the net.

I assume you will arrive mod morning the first day and leave in the late afternoon of the 3rd day. So it's only 2 nights.

I would think 2 bags will last 3 days, but I don't expect you will have much left.

If you're worried about weight gain, get the purple one - Timothy Grass - I think it the lowest cal version they do.

It lasts my 16.3 3/4 bred three days usually but then he is not greatly inot hay/haylege

It's very compressed and goes much further than you would expect. I think the 2 bales would probably suffice

I dont reckon you'll need more than 2 bale, my 17hh has it ad lib and loves it and he only gets through 2/3 a bale a day.
