I went this year for the first time due to having a 3 year old Friesian looking into different ways to train her.

I really enjoyed it, went both days and pic and choose. Enjoyed Ben a lot and find it fascinating he now includes positive reinforcement with clicker training and treats. Loved Oliver, great personality and seemed down to earth. Enjoyed learning about how you can use whips, they have such a bad name sometimes because of what they can do. Overall, really enjoyed it. Loved the western element as well. Spoke to some great trainers.

What were your thoughts?

I enjoyed seeing Warwick Schiller in person after years of listening to him. However,
Joe Midgely and Sean Coleman stood out for me as trainers.
I went for the horsemanship and didn’t love the showmanship and performance/stunt elements tbh. So I could totally miss the Saturday night event next time.
I did appreciate that some of the trainers took public lessons in front of the crowd which I thought showed their openness to continual learning. And we got to see Ben’s horse say he’d had enough.
