Horsemart- finding photos from archived adverts.

I remember hearing from a few people that things stored online never 'truly disappear' and are always held in the cache/host's site etc. Apologies if this is incorrect as I am not the most savvy when it comes to such things.

I have found an old archived advert in google's cache, though no photo shows up, just text (hopefully people know the kind of format I mean) and I was wondering if there was any way of finding which photo went alongside the advert at time of listing? I believe the advert was from September. It would help a lot of us out- apologies for being so cryptic. Nothing underhand is going on, we are just trying to find a horse and trying to work out timescales.

It's worth asking however when I was burgled and lost my laptop and photos I asked a couple of companies to trace pics I had put online on their sites in the past and was told they get rid of pics after a certain amount of time

Not sure how true that is mind!
