Was thinking this morning how it is strange that some horses can have something terrible happen to them and be petrified of that circumstance or object. While others really don't seem to remember or be bothered by it. For example.
I went to a clinic once and one of the ladies riding in my group had a really bad accident on the way there. Basicly she was run off the road and ended up down a cliff like embankment. SHe and horse where fine apart from a few scratches but horse was seemingly stuck in float with only the chest bar stopping him from having his head pressed up against the glass. Front legs had slipped right forward, so was nearly doing front splits. Fire brigade came and cut the chest bar and the float front door so he could squeeze through. The horse then calmly scrambled back up the bank ( he was a ** eventer so very fit). They then had to get him home obiously, so someone supplied a float and he walked straight back on!!
Do you think this is stupidity or that he just trusted his mum so much he followed her onto the float again.....
Amazing
