I couldn't help but giggle, will the Irish government be making people who take their horses on public highways and in public places wear these things?
Sadly, I am old enough to remember when the Binman's horse came along the road, as well as the milkman's horse (told you I was old!)...several people came rushing out to shovel up the manure. What is the problem now?
In our village most people still run out for the poo for their roses.
When doing a trail ride the other day a very stupid head keeper / deer stalker came running out of his house as we rode by to ask who would pick up our poo - we were at least 3 miles from a public road. I suggested he could find out who lifts all the deer and sheep poo and ask them if they would do the horse poo too.
At this point my clients nearly fell off theor horses laughing which did not help and as it was a Sunday mroning I suggested to the gentleman that he went back to bed for a wee while and tried getting out the other side to see if that helped.
He was very offensive and I will be contacting our National Parks access officer to have a word with him and his boss !!
