Well, due to all the recent rain my friend has decided she cant lok after my horses any more as she needs to rest the fields.
While i understand it from here point of view, i don't yet have water or a fence in my field and she called last night to say she's boxing them down this sunday - eek!!
Have been out all morning in field to try and put up temporary fencing - i can't believe the weather, i thought it was july, (or did i fall asleep for several months and it's actually november?)
And the field, although some of it is a bank, is about 4 inches deep in water. The 'field shelter' doesn't keep much of the rain off and whilst keeping them apart was going to be ok because it's summer and they can have half the field each i'm now trying to work out how to split the shed so they can both have some 'dry' space but not beat each other up!
And to top it all, the roads are all flooded as well, how well do lorry's cope in water?
