does it annoy anyone else? as much as it annoy s me,
carnt believe the lengths people got to. its not clever horses are not toys,
ive just found out that a horse that i cared for wasnt thought of highly by the owner as when it came to the end we had herput down sadly,
now the creamatrium informed me the mare will be put to rest in the ash bin.as the owner to busy partying and doesnt show any emotion to the mare memory.its a case of what mare

I wouldn't judge too harshly. The poor horsey is gone and it really won't have any idea what happens to its ashes. Perhaps this girl is really hurting, so partying to take her mind off the death and not everyone wants the ashes to bury as a lasting reminder. Sounds like the horse was well loved in life and that is the main thing.

the horse was loved by me as i did it all, the mare might not know whats happened to her ashes n resting place but il know and its disrespecting the memorie of a animal. id hate to think id end up in the bin.
if you have a animal its till the end without cutbacks,my horses get everything befre my needs, there my kids.people with kids will know what i mean ud die for your kids. im like that for my horses

I understand what you mean.

It would upset me as well, but at least she had the thought to have her cremated.

At least you know that you care

I think posting this publicly on the same forum frequented by the owner is wrong. You created this post purely to get at her. People do show their grief in differnt ways and maybe its hard for her to face you as it brings back memories of her mare. either way i dont think is for you to judge. If you dont like how she deals with things move on and forget about her. Posting like this only illustrates your bitterness, t achieves nothing.

So instead of dumping the horse at the auction or the meat mart, or buting it up and palming it off on some unsuspecting novice, the onwer chose to have the horse PTS (aka the responsible choice)? And you are hating on her because she didn't treat her horse's old clothes with respect?

Sorry, but I think you need to get over yourself a little. She did the responsible thing in having her horse PTS - the eventual fate of the ashes is irrelevant. The ashes are not the horse. i wouldn't keep my horse's ashes either, I'd rather keep good memories and photos.

thanx foryur post,
butif u read it correctly it isnt purely me been bitter.
i was the one who madethe decission with the vets help to have her put to sleep as it was needed,te oner would still have the horse here today,
theres alot morethan bitterness or grieving a simple show of gratitude to the people involved wit the mares care and professional treatments as they havent had a simple thankyou, nor been paid for there services,so its a case ifu cannot afford the pleasure of horses, dont kid yourself and buy one and fail its mostinportant needs.
id certainly want the ashes.everyone is different with grief and accept that, dont desertyour responsibilities and use grief as a excuse,

once i retrieve the ashes il move on. carnt help been a soft touch and a professional when it comes to my horses and my services in which are very sucessfull due to how i care for the horses.

i believe in what goes around will come around.

I really think that if you are a professional you should refrain from airing your dirty laundry on a public forum. I would certainly think twice about using the services of someone who was so indescreet

Absoluelty loving Popsicles foot note- 'Animal Torture is wrong'- you dont know this girl and the way she treated her horse or you'd stand by your own words. She has been banned from the yard as a result. The partying wasnt to deal with the death, the partying was before and during the time the mare needed medical attention and couldnt have the important creams to stop her skin blistering because the owner wouldnt cough up the dosh for the vets bill yet she could go getting legless each night?!?! Wrong- yes very. Your all quite quick to jump to her defence and give Blondie the boot- as a witness to the whole shebang and an outsider to you all that has signed up purposefully as justice to a darling little mare that would do anything for any one despite being previously mistreated.

Do you go for DAYS or WEEKS with out seeing your horse when you live 3 minutes down the road- do you ignore and badmouth the people looking after your horse so well?

And for the record- the owner did NOT make the decision to have the poor mare put to sleep she wanted to prolong it and the vet had to be called for his verdict when the poor mare finally got water on the brain after a tumour burst in her neck. Thats how ill the poor horse was and for weeks prior to her death I dont recall a single message off the owners own back that asked 'how is my horse' once she moved away.

Thats the type of person your backing and your sticking the boot into the person who spent nights sleeping beside the mare when she couldnt stand, bottle feeding her water when she wouldnt drink.... where was the owner?!?! Out partying.
Check your conscience before you slate any further. would you treat your horse this way? If you do, I'd love you to own up.

Off my soapbox now- rant away at me- but it's the truth, unprompted, unbiased and off my own back. I was friends with both the owner and Blondie whilst he had her. I'm now only friends with one.....

Well I really don't want to get into an argument on here, as I don't know any of the posters involved. But Mf6447 if you are not Blondie posting under another name. The only thing that sticks out here like a sore thumb is WHY? Why did blondie feel the need to post and why do you feel the need to post? It's one thing if it is done anonymously, but why name anyone or at least make it obvious who that person is? You really gain nothing and make yourself/selves, look unpleasant and nasty, joining a forum purely to slate a member. What could you possibly hope to gain?

Persephone- good point, however she has ignored the contact from the vets and the crem, she has blocked us all on websites and changed her number. She was offered a deal via post to pay monthly on the ashes. Some man who runs a business is now at a loss and theres a mare sat on a shelf- may only be her ashes but it's still her.

Popsicle- nope, I'm not Blondie, I had to step in and care for the mare on occassions when the owner was meant to be in charge and left a 15 year old girlwho loved that little mare like her own with no first aid kit and no knowledge and no contact number. Hasnt even said thank you.

Simple- the reason I posted on here was because Blondie is very distraught at the thought of the mare being abandoned, he was very close to her. He told me of his post on here and I had a look. I was so upset by you all having a dig at him I signed up and thought you should all see the big picture.

Popsicle- as far as I can see neither of us have mentioned a name- I'm simply just turning the post the way it should go. Blondie was having a rant about the disrespectful owner of a lovely mare- no names mentioned. Just a rant. You guys took it upon yourselves to work out who it was and bring the conversation that way. Not Blondie and certainly not myself.

I just wanted you to all see you were sticking up for the wrong person. I know Blondie- I'm not particularly good friends with him, but I know him and what he went through. Dont judge a book by the cover I think is the correct term.

I wont post regarding this again- my opinion has been logged.
