currently have horses at home but only 2 acres plus stables.lovley cottage but outgrowing as have 2 teenagers.option of moving to cottage a few miles away bit bigger and also 6 acres of land sold seperatley with pp for 6 stables and menage.i love having them at home but also like the idea of more facilities and grazing.also would cost more but likely to be able to manage that in near future.pros and cons please.field is only 5 minutes walk but out of sight from the house

If you need to move anyway for space and cant find anywhere with land thats suitable/affordable, then go for the big place. If you can possibly cope with staying with your current place then do, the peace of mind of being able to see your horses are safe is priceless.

Mind you one of mine was turned out in the village field 5 mins away from stables with the other mares and the guy on the end house of the row in front of the field used to give me a 20 minute commentary on everything that 'Goldie' had done since I was last down (Goldie is not her name but shes a Haflinger so he named he himself. What a darling man! If your new field has friendly neighbours over looking it like ours, that might make a difference.....
