Horse's being stollen in Lothian/Central Scotland?!?!

Spotted a status update on my friends facebook and just wondered if anyone on here knew/had heard of any further information on it? Really just trying to find out if its true before I pass the word around my friends.

someone attempted to steal a pony out a field in lasswade belonging to the riding school, someone phoned the police after seeing someone leading a small white pony about with a tow rope round his neck they never used the main roads either so it was planned to almost perfection, this happened saturday night at about 8/9pm pony returned safe and sound, my little sister rode her in him in her lesson on sunday morning
