My horse has been out with another gelding since the summer they have always got on but now they have started to play more. They will both bite the back of each others knees. I have never seen this behaviour before so just waned to know if any of you have

My lot do it all the time! Sometimes they will actually kneel down to stop the other from getting them, or they'll go for the back legs and make the other sit down!

They're just having a great game, nothing to worry about.:)

It's normal among the playful lot. Fortunately I have Kao in his own field so he's can't get into trouble :D he's already had one of rugs ripped by being a bit to forward with the other, larger, shod gelding he was out with  oh the joy of males.

THANKS GUYS :D :D
I wasnt too worried as they are great friends but just wanted to check. His friend will lay down to aviod it by mine wont, they also rear up at each other aswell and make lots of noise so I get funny looks when I put them out form passers by

geldings often do this. colts always seem to play like this. gay games!!! its fine unless one of them gets too nasty and dominant. how old are they?
