Ok so after last Wednesdays lesson where Pidge peed off with me twice at canter (we are NOT supposed to be cantering yet
) he has excelled himself tonight and done it lots of times
hasn't done it when I've schooled him just when having a lesson. Instructor is very good I have to say. She says he's feeling very good in himself and that his action is much freer than before, but we need to stop this cantering lark. So am going to put the double bridle in tomorrow as have tried his kk bits, pelham with two reins to no avail
How can I tell if his peeing off with me (not nasty) is because he is feeling good (which I think it is) or is it because he is on the forehand and finds it easier to canter than trot?
Also had some doubts tonight as found him so strong in the snaffle, and even thought for a moment that perhaps he is mans horse
I'm nearlly 5'6" and he's 17hh and 575kg. Is he too much for me or am I just having a bad day because of how he has been? Never normally have problems with the brakes even when jumping he is keen but controllable in a snaffle.
