On Monday morning my guinea pig started having seizures, and I had to take her to the vet. They had her stable but wanted to keep her there for observation for a few hours so I went to the barn (which happens to be only a few minutes away) to spend some time with the horses. At that point I wasn't holding out much hope that she was going to survive, and had already decided to have her PTS if it looked like she wasn't going to recover from it. My friend and I were in the indoor arena with the pony I lease, and her horse Chance. (I am like a 2nd Mum to him) :)

A short time later, I got the call from the vet's office that she had passed. I was standing probably 20 or so feet away from my friend & Chance. I gave her the thumbs down so she knew what the outcome was. While I was speaking to the vet, Chance was staring at me intently (though at the time I was unaware), and she tried to call him back over to her with some treats. He is a total mooch, so usually he beelines right to you if he knows you have food. Well, he looked at her, looked at me, and then he looked back at her..shook his head "no," and then came up behind me. Next thing I knew his head was hanging over my shoulder. I tried to wander away to finish the phone call and he followed behind me until I hung up, then crunched me in a big horsey hug

Anyone have a similar experience?
