Booked horsey into be clipped in November (Bit of a way away I knoiw), but this will be her first time being clipped.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how i could get her used to the noise/vibration the clippers will make? We have no access to any clippers so we're a bit stuck.
Any ideas?
Thankyou in advance x

Anything like a kids toy that vibrates, electric screwdriver (obviously without the bit in it) or one of those little hand held child-safe £1.99 battery fans might be good to start with?
Friend (non horsey) by my right elbow says 'what about a vibrator, would that do?' Talking over the top and typing quickly so 2 x 10 year olds don't ask 'what is a vibrator?'.

I would dope her for the first time, so that she is sleepy when clipped and too drowsy to protest. That way, hopefully she will not associate anything nasty with the clippers, and will be fine to do normally next time

That's what we've always done with our youngsters, and we've never had a bad one to clip yet!

With my girl she wouldn't let the guy who came clip her, but as soon as I bought my own she was fine. Make sure you've got her used to having the hair pushed the wrong way, as my girl objected to this. I also used an electric toothbrush to desensitise her.
