horses found out on the road in leicestershire

to all people round north leicestershire melton thorpe satchville area on 3 seperate occations over the last couple of weeks, horses have been let out of their fields late at night. last saturday we had 4 brood mares who came from 1/2 mile away appear in the yard about 6 am and i was talking to my farrir this morning and another lot were found out last night and also from john o gaunts area last week. the gates to the field were found shut! which makes it even more of a mystery. can everyone keep a look out also if you have or know of people with horses out in fields maybe they need to put paddlocks on their gates. nothing has been taken as far as i know and we are lucky that there has been no car accidents but there is someone who appears to be playing silly buggers

The same happened near us in West Yorkshire, in the West Vale ish area, ponies let out of fields, then found 3 miles away! The gate had been opened more than once. Now padlocked, but the owner is worried.
