My horse had to have glue shoes on back in Dec as he ripped his shoes off in the mud taking a lot of hoof. He kept loosing one glue shoe and eventually the farrier cut the hoof back hard and reshod with a lightweight shoe. So he had uneven hooved for a few weeks. When he reshod again he removed the other glue shoe and evened the hooves up. Reshod wider than normal without fron clips (front shoes). The horse has a crack up the front of the hoof that kept the glue shoe which the farrier says was caused by a piece of grit under the glue but says this will be gone when he is next shod. He has been a bit short on one hind for a few days although when trotted up he just doesn't look right and all his hooves seem to be turning outwards now (which they have never done before). Should I call the farrier now or wait the 2 weeks until he is shod again? Also anyone else had anything like this?
