horses insurance for 20 and over???

hi, i am gold member of british horse society just the general insurance and just wondering. what is the best insurance for a 20 yr old gelding for everything, illness, injury ect.

My 21 year old pony is with Petplan and they insure her for illness and injury until she is 25 then after that it will be injury only. They have been absolutely brilliant at paying out our numerous very expensive claims as well.

petplan, but you may find they will only insure a 20 plus horse if they have been insured with them for a while??

Petplan will insure for illness up to the age of 25 but only if you insure them before their 20th birthday. Think you will find you will only be able to insure against your horse against injury at this stage (though I could be wrong).

My elderly horses are insured with NFU. They are insured for public liabilty as they are both still ridden and also for injury only. They are very reasonable price wise and also very helpful.
