Haven't posted on here for a long time but looking for people's opinions!
My horse has just started coming in at night for the winter, he has been out 24/7 all summer. He is a 13.2hh native type so grows a really thick coat in winter & i don't really rug him. However since he has been coming in and it has been really cold at night, about 2 degrees some nights, i have noticed that in the morning his legs are a bit stiff and as i walk him out the stable he stops and has to stretch them.
Do you think it is worth getting some sort of stable bandages/ boots to help or is it not really worth it?
Thanks in advance! :)

My horses legs fill if he has to stand in for long periods of time, and I also look after a 29 year old mare who gets really stiff if she is in overnight. My solution is to keep them out 24/7, and they are so much happier for it, even in awful weather that leaves me worrying that I'm being cruel! Not much help if this isn't an option though!

Can't help with boots or bandage suggestions but if he were mine I would keep him out at night all year round. Is that possible where you are?

My 19 year old mare gets stiff. Her back legs fill up if in for a day or more as well. It doesn't seem to bother her apart from a bit of a stretch when first coming out of the stable. I can ride fine in the morning as long as I give her longer to warm up. I have considered magnetic boots but not there yet. How old is yours?

unfortunately no it isn't an option, we have enough grazing for them if they come in at night. he does go out about 6:30 and doesn't come in until 6ish. I prefer him being out 24/7 but unfortunately it isn't an option right now

If i could, i would have him out 24/7. I prefer them being out, and i don't worry about him being out in bad weather, but to ensure we have enough grazing & our field doesn't get trashed we have to bring them in at night

What about giving him a supplement then? I give mine clop which has made her less stiff in general apart from the mornings, but she is 19. If yours is just 10 maybe that will be enough to counteract it. A 5kg bucket lasts 3 months and costs £26 so good value!!
