As we are due to move in June and the new place needs some money throwing at it we moved from the livery yard back to our own field this morning.

We set off with me riding Chad and leading Ellie and OH leading Blue. Unfortunately OH wasn't comfortable leading Blue so he put him back in his stable and caught up with us and led Ellie. Chad hasn't been in our field since last June, Ellie since November. As soon as Chad saw where we were going he went wappy! He was trotting on the spot, snorting and tossing his head. We got his tack off and he galloped off around the field whinnying before having a roll, biting Ellie on the bum and then doing what he likes best of all - eating!

We went back to get Blue and had a lead rein each on him, one on each side. It was only Blue's third time out on the roads and it was very busy. He had to stop and look at a couple of drain covers and a horse lorry but was otherwise fine and walked lovely, if a bit fast!

We chucked him in the field and he and Chad chased each other around before they found the hay and started to dig in. Ellie was stood at the other end of the field grazing while the young 'un's played!

I swear that if horses could smile the three of them would have had big grins plastered accross their faces

I now have an afternoon of hard labour clearing out their stables at the yard and picking up poo in their paddocks.

I shall sleep well tonight!

I know that feeling. I moved my horses yesterday. I can now just about see them from the bedroom window if they stand in the right bit of the field!
We have had snow over night and its still snowing now so was a bit worrying turning them out for the first time this morning but all went well!
