My friend has been told that under BE rules she has to have her mares name on the passport (at the moment she has the dam and sire on there). However the cost to do this is £112 and that's after she's paid £50 for a vet report! Can she just apply for a new passport for £21.50? Or perhaps she can compete under the dams name which is already on the passport?

Any opinions on this please! We're baffled at the cost of stamping a bloody bit of paper!

I'd give them a ring, might be a misprint. £112 sounds like a lot of money, maybe it was meant to say £12?

i ahve just bought a horse with a weatherbys passport, the previous owner had named the horse and just wrote it in in the space in pen, i never realy thought anything about it but obviously this is something i'm going to need to get changed and carried out correctly?? do you have a link to the website please?

Thanks.
Oh great, £122 seems ridiculous. I think i may hold off until (if) the time comes to affiliate as my neddy is just in the process of being backed!
