Took Holly's sweetitch rug off her last night so she was naked in the field and immediately Madd and Meg (the 2 mares with foals at foot) started beating her up and charging at her especially Madd!

How could they not realise it was Holly?!

The same Holly who they've all shared a field with for the past i don't know how many months!

They did all settle down after a bit though, kept an eye on them whilst riding Blue.

Sometimes they really, really don't seem to have even one brain cell between their ears, do they?

I was getting my mare and foal in from the field the other day, and there's a little front path area that I let them out into before putting their headcollars on and leading them out of the gate onto the road. My mare has done this a hundred times before, but this time she chose to get herself behind the open first gate and completely refused to see that all she needed to do was to walk round it and through the field entrance. Duh!!! Total panic ensued - "OMG, I'm going to lose my foal, I'm not going to get my feed, I'm trapped here for ever ....." etc, etc. I thought she was going to try and come over the open gate and had to walk back to show her the way. Couldn't believe it!
