I have no idea where to start looking! I need a horse to take to somorford park for pony club camp in the summer, we only want it for 5 ish weeks! I have no idea where to start looking, the thing is, it's about 2 hours away from home, and people might not want their horse to travel that far away, and I can't take gypsy because
Gypsy+somorford XC= AAAAGGGHHHH! which is no fun atall, plus they have to be stabled, which he really doesn't do.

Bit pointless, but would there actually be local people out there willing for someone to take their horse for a week to camp?!

hunter hirelings might be available in the summer ... approx 100 to 150 per day.
polo poniies fetch approx £60 per chukka ( each chukka is approx 6 mins)
yes a local riding school may hire you a pony for camp but it wont be cheap.
why dont you work with your own pony and deal with issues re stabling etc? plenty of time for you to do this and then you and your own pony will actually benefit from pc camp. you will get loads of help and intstruction whilst you are there,

I'd send my boy but u'd come back with long arms from all the pulling! I'm afraid u'd get one that needs work. I certainly wouldn't send my competition pony, she stays with me.

Pony club DC is definitely a good place to start. I was regularly asked to take ponies to camp for the experience when I was younger (and like you I had my own as well)

Just ask around. I was very pleased for my neice/other people to take my horses to Pony Club, it was good experience. From an owner's point of view, they are going to be under the direct supervision of the Instructors at all times, so it isn't as though you are lending a horse to the complete unknown.
