Hi everyone,
I am investigating the horseshoe market and I need your advice on the below topics.
1. Who buys the horseshoes? Is it the farrier, the trainer or the horse-owner responsible for the purchase?
2. If the farrier is responsible for this, what kind of shoes does he purchase? Do they ask the owner if they want aluminium or steel, what brand, weight etc?
3. How much would a farrier pay for a new shoe in the market which weights 80-90grams and it is made of steel?
4. How much would a farrier pay for a shoe made of steel and how much for a shoe made of aluminium?
5. Would you consider paying more money for an ultra lightweight steel horseshoe?
6. What are the criteria of farriers to decide which horseshoe to buy? Do the horse-owners set the criteria?
