Sorry - pointless post from me! Hope you find someone x

scott horse, they are based in Scotland, they are really good, they brought my horse from Holland. They deal with mostly trade clients... You will need to contact www.sport-horses.org for the number.

Hope this helps, the mans name is Rodger and he is really nice and looks after the horses well

I suggest you try Blue Rose transport, they usually advertise in H&H.
They specialise in tailored journeys rather than huge shared loads which mean that they do not wander all over the place picking up and dropping off horses.
I have used them to take horses back and forth to Aberdeenshire from Devon and Somerset. They are well priced. The lorry is not fancy but the care they take is second to none. I no longer use the big transporters because once a journey to Devon took 4 days and my mare arrived in a state, over-rugged and over-heated and no forage en-route.

ETA (used to be Chaighley). Absolutely brilliant and based in your neck of the woods. Used them to bring my lad home from the North and they were wonderful not only with him but with me too!!

I have just had a horse transported from Devon to Yorkshire. I found a web site - www.horsetransportsearch.com which gave me the ability to put my requirements in and then got quotes back from various companies.

They varied a lot but eventually choose Boothroyd Transport as they were coming back empty from Cornwall. My horse was collected at lunchtime and arrived with me at 10pm. He was very settled and had had a good journey. They were very caring people that I would recommend.

Thank you all VERY much. This is most helpful.
Will give these details to lady concerned -daughter is getting a jumping horse on loan from her and wanting to send it up before xmas.

Thanks for all replies, lady in question got someone ,don't know who yet just that horsey coming up on Thursday wooo hoooo!!!
Will let you know what company it was

You can also try Find Horse Transport . You can submit a quote request to get quotes from different companies or search for transporters by area. Also have a page to check for available spaces in loads travelling to different areas. You can also find good list of self drive places.
