I've found a nice lightweight stable rug on ebay. It's Horseware Ireland, which I haven't heard of before. Are they any good and if so what should be my top bid? The starting price is £8.

Thanks

Horseware Ireland do Rambo, Amigo, Rhino... It depends which brand it is, Amigo is a bit of a budget range of theirs but still very nice. I find they fit pretty much any shape of horse, are durable and don't slip.

The listing just says Horseware Ireland so not sure if it's a Rambo, Rhino, Amigo, etc. What should i bid up to on it?
Looks like prices for new ones start at around £25-ish and go right up and up?

Looks similar to the underrug in my rambo-duo rug apart from has belly straps. Mine dosent have any and i use it under a stable rug for a fully clipped horse in the winter and is good :)

hmmm, it's old, repaired and already £17 if you include postage...
looks like an Amigo Insulator, but it probably isn't. You could bid a tenner I suppose, but I think I wouldn't bother.

Definately the old Insulator rug - super fitting light weight stable rug that washes and wears really well. I have 4 that must be 10 years old now, I use them as under rugs in the winter and stable rugs on chilly spring nights, they are a really handy rug to have around. Mine go in the washing machine all the time and they dry in no time - they are very similar to the new amigo lightweight stable but slightly tougher nylon materials used.

I have loads of horseware rugs-rhino and amigo ones for the pony plus an insulator like that one you are bidding on, they are fab and I only go for Horseware now. Pony can seem to take any other rug off!!

I have Rambos for my mare and they are great and the only rugs i have found that fit her properly!

I like Horsewear Ireland rugs as they generally have the full nylon lining which polishes the coat and doesn't rub. If this is an older one, maybe email the seller and double check it's the same.
