Horseware sweetitch hoodie - sizing?

anyone bought a horseware sweetitch hoody?

Is it true you have to buy a size larger than normal to fit properly?

I didn't find that, my horse fit her usual size.

Same as Brightmount, mine has the same size as normal rugs. I wouldn't go larger because you need it to be fairly snug to stop the dratted midges getting in

My Dales mare had a long back so I bought a size larger, the body fitted nicely but the neck was too long and the hood came right over her head. It was easy enough to put a pleat in to shorten it.

Excellent rug though, very tough and about as comfortable as you can find.

All four of mine had to go a size larger. I made the mistake of buying the right size for the welsh section A, who was the first to have one, and it was a squeeze! I have two ISHs - one chunkier, one more tb, a small, not that wide cob, and sec a - all were a size bigger.

They are so worth their cost - am onto my third summer with some of them, and the ponies survive mild sweet itch in them easily...

I bought one of these last year, in normal size - it did fit ok but was just a bit tight in places, so this year i bought next size up - SO much better.

My horse is between a 6'3" and 6'6", I bought a 6'6" and found that it fitted fine.

I got her normal size. She is a mid weight connie x and she fits her usual size really well.
