I gave my horse Dusty to Horseworld in 2000 because of my circumstance were bad I couldnt manage her anymore, due to illness, lost my house, car, job and partner. I had no money or home, so she had to be re-homed. She had had kissing spine and had therepy for it and was 100% but needed to stick to the strict fitness regime they had given me at the back clinic or be retired so rather than sell her I gave her to horseworld, thinking I would be able to visit her now and again. She was re-homed and I havent seen her in 7 yrs and miss her so much especially as for the past 5 1/2 yrs i have been in a stable relationship with someone whos father owns a huge livery yard, if only i had know what was around the corner, I would have tried to keep her.

HAS ANYONE SEEN DUSTY??? She was a Dark Bay all over (no markings) 15.1hh 3/4 tb x cob mare, freezebranded B2PO, I think she would probably be 19 or 20 now. I would love to know where or how she is, but horseworld wont let me see her.

I have tried all that, they just say shes fine and that they dont like old and new owners to mix, I dont know where or when she was re-homed.

God they are bastards!!

I have to say that I've heard plenty of bad stuff about them, though havent had any dealings myself.

I always said I would never sell her. But horses arn't like dogs you cant scrape by with a horse. I just needed to sort myself out. I keep all her photo's around my house. My daughter has a pony now and no matter what happens we will never sell him. I just would like to know where she is and see her. I hope someone knows where she is, I think she is in the Bristol or Bath area.

how upsetting for you, it seems terrible that they wont allow you to speak to new owners. i can understand why you had to give her up and it is so cruel of them not to let you find them, good luck, wish i could help you.

The freezebrand people Farmkey will still have the owners as horseworld as they still actually own her they just loan them out on a permanent loan and check them occasionally.
Thanks for everyones nice comments though I am glad you all understand.

I have contacts at Horseworld. I will ask for you and PM you later. Although to be honest I dont think you will get further than you already have. In signing her over to Horseworld she became their responsibility.

What a sad story. I'm sorry I don't know your horse, but just wanted to say I hope you can find her again soon.

I know that, I dont expect to get any further with them. I thought maybe someone who recognise my description of Dusty and be on this sight. Hopefully
Thanks for offering to ask for me I think I handed her over in Oct 2000 approx
Talk laters!!!!

Do you have a copy of your contract with Horseworld? If you do then let an Equine solicitor check it out and wee if they can help to get you access to your horse. Alternatively get them to write to Horeworld and ask them to send them a copy of the contract.

HI

Where did you get dusty from ?

Sounds very much like a horse a sold approx 10 years ago

I had her freeze marked when she was with me cant remember the number but sounds familiar

Got any photos ?

Sorry I havent got any pics on a digital camera, I bought her in Sept 97 from somebody in Westerleigh Bristol called Rosie, it that you? They bought Dusty in 1995 from a women in Bitton, she had had her for about a year and they got her from a lady in Wales and not sure if they actually bred her, but she did produce two foals for them and the second foal grew quite big and she couldn't be bred from again, I think thats why she was sold.
