I am very aware that some horses can get very attached, however we have a horse which is happy to be taken away from his friends, goes out alone for competitions & travels perfectly well on his own. He is excellent hacking alone and enjoys hunting and can happily leave the hunting field on his own to hack / return home alone. But if he is the one left in the field / stable alone he gets very upset. We have introduced gradual separation but this isn't working effectively. It appears that when he is the one leaving the others he is happy / doesn't have a care in the world but when he is the last one left in the field to all that grass NOPE he is not happy. Does anyone recognise this behaviour / have something similar. I can only put it down to when he is receiving the attention Happy Days when he is the one left alone Stress City....
