Horsey hol in Vienna

Hi,

I have the opportunity to visit Vienna next year, and obviously will have to pay a visit to the Spanish Riding School but was just wondering if anyone had any tips for other things to see in the area? Would ideally like a classical riding lesson but don't know if that would be possible. Anyone tried?

Just got back from Vienna last week. It was fab. We got the top 10 Vienna guidebook and did the main bits from that. We didnt go to a riding school performance as its 50euro each but instead went for morning exercise (interesting as you get to see youngsters too) and a tour for 25euro each. I'm pretty sure you cant get a lesson at the actual riding school (not even allowed to touch the horses on the tour!!) but dont know about other places in the area. Hope that helps!
