Bit of a bucket list, I would love to take Madam away for 3 or 4 days holiday.

We're near Heathrow, if we could go somewhere we can also ride on the beach then amazing but we can always do that as a day trip so not essential.
Ideally within 2 and a half hours travelling.

Essential is either other horses on site or able to bring her companion.

Good hacking with not too stony surfaces/lots of road work - I have that at home! Lots of grass bridleways/headlands/forest tracks would be ideal.
Gentle rolling hills are fine but nothing too hilly/mountainous.
I'll probably only go out for an hour or two at a time so don't need to be able to go for hours!

Nice accommodation for humans would be a bonus, though we are happy to camp too if there's nice shower/toilet facilities and pubs/restaurants nearby.
It would be ideal if there's stuff to do nearby to entertain OH/both of us when not riding.

So, what areas should I be looking at? Any recommendations?

Another vote for home farm. Beach riding.

I also like little lodge farm in Norfolk. Don’t think the beach is that close but we didn’t ask and it might be doable with transport. That was more bridleways and forest riding. And a hot tub in the lodge, that was fab for those aches and pains.

Would love to do the new forest area as well but no recommendations there.

What a lovely thing to plan ,

New forest is great and plenty of places to holiday with your own horse. If horse not used to crab flies, go later in the year and it is generally good to ride early in the morning as fewer flies generally.

Studland is good for the beach but quite a bit of travel for you.
