**Oooohhhh hopping about on one leg with excitment****
As title - I fell hook line and sinker last year for a horse whose pretty-much-non-horsey owner had had him standing in field for 5 years...he hummed and ha-ahed over whether he wanted to sell him or not and I wasn't flush at the time nor did I have room for him at that point...anyway he is now apparently about to put him up for sale, so a mutual friend tells me and I have sold my soul to the devil to persuade OH that yes, we really do have room/time/finances for another (but it didn't take much work as he knows how badly I fell for him and he rather loved him himself)....and basically, I know I will regret this forever if I don't at least try to buy him....
I have photos of him and me croodling over each other from last year, but don't know if I should post them really seeing as how he still belongs to someone else at this point....OMG what it is about horses that makes grown-women feel like this???????? Well, me anyway......
So anyone who can sympathise with my nearly-40 year old teenagery-type horse-love feelings please send me some good luck vibes to finally bring this beautiful horse home!!!!!!! Since I met him last year, I now have his half-brother too so I'm also heavily justifying it to my existing horse too! I know, I'm bad :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I found my lovely boy in similar circumstances. He was at the yard I rode a cob at always stood in the field, never ridden. Then his owner fell pregnant and offered him to me. I was dubious due to his breeding and back ground( anglo arab ex racer) but he is my baby now. We have such a strong two way bond, i do truly feel that I may never replicate this relationship with another horse. If my relationship with my up and coming youngster is half as good as it is with Dirham I will be thrilled.

I've not been getting my notifications for some reason - but thanks for all your crossed fingers - obviously helped because over the past week have negotiated and have been today and he's basically going to be mine!!! He won't be coming home straightaway as there a few things to sort out but still overjoyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D
I love that horse!
Will introduce him picture-wise when we're a bit further down the line......

Thanks! He is a bit gorgeous - but obviously I am massively biased. More importantly, he has a really nice kind temperament even when he was still a stallion last year (since been gelded).
Am going to start work with him as soon as I can...he's 7 and unbacked...but been bitted, saddled and laid over, all without problem..plus good with feet etc...so given that Welsh D's tend to mature a bit later we should hopefully just be able to crack on with him. OOOOOOOOO soooooooooo excited!!!!
