Hi I wondered if anyone could help me.

I am trying to get some birthday present ideas for a horsey friend who's horses I ride with them to help them out and a bit of company when out hacking.

Her and her friend do a lot for me, like picking me up in the holidays as I cant drive so I can ride with her. Not only that she buys me really nice presents and there is a bit of a joke that I am her adopted daughter. A couple of months ago I ripped a small whole in my jodhpurs when out hacking and she replaced them even though I told her not to and is just a really lovely lady.

She has 3 horses (2 cobs and 1 welsh cross) that I have ridden plus a Shetland. Any ideas on what to get her would be greatly appreciated plus its a big birthday.

I was going to suggest a photo canvas but if you can't get photos that would be a fail! Does it have to be a horsey present? Would she appreciate a voucher for dinner somewhere special? How about tickets to a big horsey event - gatcombe is nice, and you can see dressage, XC and SJ all on the same day.

aww never thought of that, that sounds really nice. I might ask her daughter in-law what she is doing and possibly organise something like that with her as she has her own too and maybe go altogether

Of she competes a rosette hanger with horses name on it.
Saddle covers with horses name on.
That luxury she won't buy herself (recently bought an exercise sheet for friend because she didn't feel like she could justify it)
Tickets to a horse event
Place in a posh clinic that would suit her
Weekend away at a horsey b&b
Choice are endless :)

Something you can afford rather than going mad, she'll only feel guilty if she's as nice as you say.

Horse paintings can be horrid unless very good. Have you a pal who's good with a camera (proper DSLR one) who could take some really good pics of her horses and then have them mounted and framed?
