What horsey resolutions will you be making at midnight on the 31st?

Mine are:
Get Fany out showing, she comes from good lines and is a good example.
Learn to drive Captain.
Buy a trailer or small lorry.

So what about you?

FDC

I want to get all 3 fit. Roxy I'd like to get to the South Suffolk and Suffolk show this year, she qualified for the Equifest last year so thats our Aim again. I'm also looking to start backing her late summer.
Angel and Lucky I'd like to get to a few local shows and long distance rides.
And the Big one, get the lorry back on the road so i can do all of the above... :)

to actually ride my babymare ( which I want to do) and no have panic attacks - love my beautiful girl and she is such a sweetie but my confidence as gone below zero so hey a walk around school would be a blast :)

Get the lippizaner schooled to a better degree include some complex movements :)
Get my irish gelding extreemly fit and make a trip to Austria with him on the GB Young riders TREC team
Teach me and Mr G how to drive :)

My mare had a KS operation in september so my first priority is to get her ( and me ) strong enough for me to get back on board. Which probably wont be untill april ! By the time that happens she will have been out of work for a year ( not helped by this consistently cold winter )

Buy myself a trailer. I would like another Bateson. I had one a few years ago but sold it. Wish I hadn't!

Take my mare out and about again with my daughter and her horse.

Roxy I'd like to get to the South Suffolk and Suffolk show this year,

see you there then :)

Back the Nitty one. Get brown horse registered BS and get out jumping. Get some xc schooling in somewhere too.

I achieved last years 'pass the trailer test' one which was hard so this years seem pretty easy in comparison!

I have 4 for me and pony:

- achieve canter in the school
- do a novice ridden M&M showing class
- do a prelim dressage test
- start polework and jumping

To keep my old boy as fit as necessary and as happy as he is, and to actually get on the sweet mare which I bought in April and has been ill and not ridden since June. I am aiming for beginning of March to get on her after she has been to rehab centre for her basic walking work on the walker as I don't want to do it in hand at home as the weather has been atrocious and can't see the point in starting and then having to stop again because of the weather!

Don't waste money !

Includes . . .
Livery bill extras
Rubbish schooling lesson for youngster
Lorry
Buy hay off field next year
Rubbish equine projects

;)

1. To get her weight down to 500kg. Maybe this will be the year we achieve that goal. However she has done very well in this cold snap despite being turned out every day in a frozen field.
2. to ride more
3. to ride better
4. to stop making excuses for not riding and just do it.
5. to stop thinking that everyone else is a better rider/more confident than me.
6. to appreciate my horse more (even though she is a grumpy moo)

I could continue but you are probably all bored by now and just want to kick me up the *ss and say get on with it!

well its a long shot but i want to qualify Joe for VHS Olympia championship. but mostly just to enjoy him for another year. and i am looking forward to Jazz having her foaly!

1) Reduce weight of horse
2) Reduce weight of self
3) Get horse fitter
4) Achieve canter transitions in school without bucking
5) Have lessons to enable 3) and 4), which will hopefully do 1) and 2)

However if this weather carries on I will have to do 6) emigrate in order to do any of the above:rolleyes:

1) Manage and control headshaking (Joels not mine!!)
2) Not to get depressed about said headshaking
3) Not to over think everything
4) Achieve canter transitions in school without panic attacks
5) Canter through the fields without panic attacks
6) Believe in my beautiful horse and myself

Not much eh??
