Hey all

Wondered if any of you knew any horsey shops in London, preferably North. Now I'm back in the saddle, I want my own stuff, really don't like borrowing off riding schools!

Any help/direction would be appriecated!

I'd like to know too! I've been ordering everything online.

Lee Valley has a mini tackshop and I know a few of the other riding schools do too, but not visited any. They're all probably better for riders than horses though.

*I love College Farm!*

They really do have everything, knowledgeable staff who fit hats and BPs too, and of course a fab discount joddies rail :D

I'm in the awkward location of Muswell Hill!

Any idea how much the hats are at College Farm?

Cheers :D XXX

I'd be a bit careful with the hat fitting as I know 3 people who bought hats there that didn't fit and then they wouldn't exchange as it's not their policy to exchange hats. If it's doesn't feel right don't feel pressurised to buy.

But the discount rail as you go in is good. Got some really nice half price Caldene joddie boots there.

For tack they have good basic entry level stuff .

For cheap and cheerful jods and jackets then Decathalon in Docklands is good but I would be careful of buying anything like hats and BPs as they have different European safety standards and you have to be sure what it is equivalent to.

Some of the riding schools have tackshops attached - I think one in hyde park does but not been there.

Otherwise you have to go out of london to get really good shops, North into Herts from North London - Titmuss is reasonable.

I buy most things online though apart from feed.

Thanks for the advice, my main priority at the moment is a hat, I know my sizes so fitting shouldn't be much of a problem aslong as i try them on!
