I've just got into dressage and was wondering what are the pros and cons for joining BD, i know you don't have to be some amazing dressage person to do it and you can still compete unaffiliated but it opens up more shows to you at reputable centres with good judges.
As they are more frequent in our area than the unaffiliated and often during the week it may be that they are easier to get to.
Some days we get on well at dressage and then less well on other occasions. We've only been doing it since March and my boy and I are still building muscle, we did ok in our last show but i did go wrong twice lol and would have got 67.50%, i might add that i had that horrid cold that was going round and by the second test my boy was tired and the drugs had worn off for my man flu so we'll overlook that one lol!!! (despite the comments of one person on the day who came up to stir) everyone has been really supportive and i'm very lucky to be on a yard with some great people who kick ass at dressage and i learn an enormous amount from them.
Back to the point is it worth my while or should i wait till we've got some more experience under our belt and save our money? any help will be appreciated on this as i want to get out there but am finding it hard to find stuff to suit my schedule :p
