That depends on whether he needed to gain the weight or was a bit 'big boned' to start with.

If he's looking a bit podgy, reduce his hard feed and increase the fibre. My friend is feeding her fatty half hay/half straw so he still feels full but is getting less calories.

He's a TB and was a bit ribby although we had managed to get him to a decent weight (I think) but we have moved to a new yard where there is TONS of grass plus as it is now dark when I get down there he is not getting as much exercise. I have cut down his feed to practically nothing a handful of speedibeet a scoop of alfa a oil and a splash of oil really.
