Heyy all!
Just wondering, what did everyone do for their work experience? i'm just doing work experience after Xmas, and im arranging it all now...
I've gotten accepted by Connie Colfox and a lady called Frances Cattell... wondering if anyone knows of/has been to them?? Where i go will be completely dependant on how far away it is... just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to wear/say when i do end up going somewhere!!!? Are there any things to be careful of??? Are there any specific no-no's on what to do??? What do i need to wear?? Please help!!
Thanks,
Kat :)

you will enjoy it and have fun but it will be very hard work and most people treat work experience pupils as slaves

just try and make a good impression, ask lots of questions and be willing to learn. if you dont know how to do something ask!! dont just guess how to do it then find out its wrong

I gather your going to a yard.. so wear clothes that you would normally wear at a yard! if its quite a posh yard I would wear black jods and a white polo shirt. I think anything would be fine but dont turn up in neon pink patterned jods :D

just be willing to work hard and if you dont enjoy it then be glad its only a few days! I hated my work experience (not horsey) but Im glad I did it has I realized it was not the job for me

A college friend of mine works for Connie Colfox, she went there for her college work experience and never left! From what I've heard she's got the right idea, don't really know her just of her. As for the interview wear smart yard clothes but bring riding stuff just in case

Thank you for your reply, yes one of the acceptance's is a stud farm and one is a young horse training/breaking in yard!!
Thanks for all the advice, I will be sure to note it all!
Thanks again!
