Hi moved yards two weeks ago and Eliie just not intrested in drinking l have tried various things such as apple juice and apples in water and electrolytes. She has always been a bit finiky with her water but l am really starting to get worried. Has anyone else had there pony like this if so did you find a way to get them to drink.

Thanks

One of my ponies has soaked hay overnight and quite often doesn't touch her water in the stable, she has access to water in the field and I presume she gets enough water between there and the soaked hay. You could try collecting rainwater and offering her that, I do this and use it for soaking hay and drinking water.

Water from different sources tastes different, prehaps she doesn't like the taste of the new water. Is it possible to get some water from where she was before & use that, gradually watering (haha) it down with the new water. It's a thought anyway.

Thank you for that l was at my old yard earlier l might go back up and fill a container and try that.

Is your pony dehydrated?

Another good trick to get them drinking is to give the sugar beet water alongside their normal. My yard does that for ill horses that won't drink and nearly always works
