My boy loves his horslyx original. He only has it for on average around an hour a day so he doesn't go through it too quickly. He is 26 and generally in good health.

YO says they are a new 'fad' and they make the horses go loopy!! (doesn't have any effect on mine!!

) but he likes it and I figure it can't do any harm topping up his vits and mins that way on a daily basis as he doesn't get any extra vit/min supplements in his feed!

Do you think they are good or bad? And are they likely to rot teeth?

P LOVES his, I have tried him on a few different types over the years but the Orange one is by far his favourite. I have never had any problem with them sending him loopy but then again he is a ID and that really goes against his beliefs

he doesnt believe in extra exertion when there is no need for it

However he too is limited to the amount of time he has it otherwise it would all be gone in an hour!!!!

As horses teeth are always growing and being filed down I can't see that they will rot. I have a very excitable TB and he does have a horlyx when he is not getting any grass and so far it has been ok. I wouldn't give him it while he is getting grass as that would be asking for trouble (IMO) but I can't see they do them any harm.

our horses go mad for them, and i have never had any problems with horses going loopy from them! i think there brilliant and they work wonders on horses who fidget in the yard or who are naughty to be shod, but be careful, your horse may rub his lips on the farrier as mine did- angry farrier!!
