Using a Horze sweetitch rug at the moment, cleverly designed, also have a neck cover with mask, but havent used it yet.
The complete rug did get wet and dried on the line in a day, havent washed it yet though.
Not quite the answer to your question, but what i have seem well designed and comfortable for a thin skinned horse.

Not the same company. Horze are fab - I love their stuff. No experience of horzehoods though

I've heard nothing but good things and they have now sourced a stretchy waterproof fabric to make turnout hoods!
