One of my horses was PTS and my parents have bought a bench to go in the garden with a plaque on it for her......they have asked me to decide what i want on the plaque and i just don't know.
Bearing in mind that it has to be quite short as the plaque won't be huge and i just want to say a nice sentance or two for her - all my ideas are rubbish and i can't let her have a plaque that isn't 'right' because i feel it would be letting her down (stupid i know). i'm finding it hard to commit to anything because nothing i can think of is good enough for her.

ideas please....

the whole thing is:

Always I'll remember you
Happy, running free
Mischevious and playful
Gently loving me.

Other friends may follow
Kindly by my side
But forever in sweet memory
It's you that I shall ride

Unfortunately I can't remember who wrote it so apologies for not crediting them. I love it and have it printed over a picture of my first horse Trooper as my wall paper on my mobile!

i've just seen a poem that brought a tear to my eye.
it's by MAry Elizabeth Frye:

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
