BGP had a warm front left fore last week slightly footy and soles were slightiy soft. Checked by farrier couldn't find anything and rec using kertax which I did . Poor pony hopping today so farrier has put pads. He doesn't have the greatest feet so I'm hoping its just the crap wet weather hasn't helped his feet and there isn't long term damage . Anyone else had similar experience ?

Me too. Mare was lame when I went to ride her on Friday. Hoof, coronet band and up into leg all warm with the greatest heat at the front of the hoof and band. Her soles are very soft and can be pressed in. They did not seem tender though. There is a bruise on her hoof wall at the side.
Today she seemed cooler but she had been standing out on the frozen ground and it's very cold here. Shes not my horse and owner is putting off dealing with it. Guess she's hoping she'll get better on her own and maybe she will.

Frustrating !! I'd have got the vet or farrier by now. Been told today that she's loosened the other front shoe so at least now she will HAVE to have attention.
Hope BGP feels better soon :)
