Hot foot??????

Let horse out y'day and field frozen and pot holed ( cud not keep in as no way to exercise as menage like an ice rink) and bought back in - picked feet out and rear off side (soundz like a car!!) was warm on hoof area. Panicked and thought oh no - so cleaned with water and no cuts, nothing under the sole - do you

think he may have pulled something? really panicking now as had abscess earlier this year in front foot. Are they really that common? Any help greatly appreciated - ie what to look out for etc... thankies.

Abcess's are fairly common in my experience, but I would say in your case sounds like its just a bit bruised/sore from walking round on frozen potholed field. Imagine how your feet would feel if you had walked barefoot on frozen clods of mud and caught one at a funny angle? Keep an eye but will probably subside in a day or two!
