Our horse had laminitis (metabolic 2 yrs ago ) We do everything with care ,no turn out on frosty grass, hay soaked 6/8 hrs ,laminitic feed ,muzzled when grass is long enough .We have had very liminited turn out since xmas as fields have been waterlogged and not much grass so couple of hours is enough and he wants to come in .The last couple of weeks they have had several days in but he is always exercised .Tonight i noticed that his front feet were very warm,no pulses and back feet very cold .Seems fine no sign of lameness was ridden and all ok .Just wondered if its lack of turnout and moving about and could be a warning or if he had been digging and scraping .(he was having a little nap when we got to yard this morn which is not too unusual although i haven't seen him do it for a while ) Just wondered what peoples thoughts are .He was shod last monday week but has been fine since
