We are looking at building a wash box on the yard with hot water. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the best units to use, or any to avoid? Are the Hot Horse Showers or Showerking any good? Do you have to wait for the water to heat or are they instant? Sorry, lots of questions! Seem very reasonably priced for hot water on tap :)

A few yards that I know of have just used electric showers that you would use in your bathroom and put and extension on the hose so that you can reach all parts of the horse. Cheaper and works fine.

We do this but drain and disconnect it when it is freezing (having had to replace a couple over the years when they froze)

the hot horse shower is very good. hot water in an instant. you have to remember to drain it down in cold weather. i used to have an electric shower which was ok but not as good as the hot horse shower.

Thanks guys. At the risk of sounding stupid do the electric showers heat the water for you too and if so is this an instant thing? If so I guess its just a case of costing them out against the horse versions :):)

Thanks Of Course You Can. Missed your post, sorry. Think Hot Horse Shower may be the way to go, thank you :)

I LOVE my showerking horse shower (so do my horses)! It's pretty instant warm but not boiling hot water. Perfect for all year round use. :)
