Is anyone else's horse loving this weather

Yes, you did read that right!
I know my mare is a much nicer person in summer - she loathes the cold - but had forgotten quite how much nicer.
It was so hot yesterday afternoon, and I went to practice my dressage test with a feeling of dread - didn't have the energy for a fight. However, I didn't need one, she was so obliging that I only rode for about 40 min because I got everything done that I wanted to! And this morning she was equally sweet.
Plus for a horse that is normally a bit 'don't touch me' she's desperate to be brushed and scratched.
Anyone else got a hot weather horse?

Do you own my horse??????

Sounds jsut like my girlie. Could happily burry her in a big hold at the start of the winter to dig her up again April time!

Yep, my TB loves it when it's warm. Did some jumping last night and he was really pinging the fences and was far more controlled going into the fences than normal. Take him out in the cold and he hates it!

The other one is the opposite, doesn't want to work in the heat but fine when it's cooler.

Both like being groomed and scratched each day.

Genie seems to be stronger and even more forward going the hotter it is, I must admit... Almost think her theory must be to get it over with as quickly as possible by going faster!
